Inductive proximity switches

Offshore sensors for use under water

Offshore sensors for use under water
Inductive proximity switches of this product family cope with the most difficult environmental influences found during offshore use. The proximity switches are based on the conventional inductive principle and switch when a metallic object moves close. Contactless positioning tasks in seawater environments or even below the sea level require special properties, such as a high IP class, high pressure and impact  and seawater resistance. These properties are achieved by, for example, using materials such as stainless steel 1.4571, longitudinally watertight and seawater-proof cables or even a one-piece stainless steel housing. Sensors of this series can be used at a water depth of up to 300 m.
