Inductive IP 69K sensors resist heavy blows

Gettorf - EGE has enhanced its proven IGV line of inductive proximity switches by an outstanding feature.

Gettorf – EGE has enhanced its proven IGV line of inductive proximity switches by an outstanding feature. The sensors are highly shock-proof and easily resist more than ten blows with an impact of eight Joule each. One such blow corresponds to a 1 kg weight dropped onto the sensor from a height of 80 cm. Thus, the sensors more than fulfill the requirements of the relevant EN 50014 standard, which makes them suitable for extremely rugged industrial environments. The stainless steel sensors, which are manufactured from one piece, can be used in hygienically demanding applications where frequent cleaning processes are necessary. Due to their seamless front construction, they also resist aggressive detergents, cooling lubricants, acids and bases. Available as M12, M18 and M30 models, IGV sensors are designed for ambient temperatures between -25 and +80 °C.
