Programmable pressure sensor helps save energy

Gettorf – Sensor experts EGE present a programmable pressure sensor with IO-Link interface.

Gettorf – Sensor experts EGE present a programmable pressure sensor with IO-Link interface: the LDN 1000 measure compressed air consumption and flow, detects even minor leakages and features many extra operating modes such as dosage function, temperature measurement, hysteresis function or off-delay. The unit therefore supports a broad variety of options for energy-efficient monitoring and control of compresses air networks. The sensor is designed for simple inline insertion into the pipe. The LDN 1000 has no moving parts. Other notable user benefits are its operation without loss of pressure and independent of pressure and temperature. The sensor is parameterized via the front buttons or very comfortably from a PC or notebook using the IO-Link interface. A 6-digit display shows measurement values that can also be forwarded to a PLC via IO-Link. In addition, the sensor is equipped with two optional programmable outputs. They can be used as 4…20 mA outputs, pulse outputs or PNP outputs. More functions include a manipulation detection by means of a non-resettable modification counter as well as anoption to customize the scope of available functions for different user groups.
