Gettorf – EGE expands its IGMF range of inductive proximity switches with a newly developed model for the food industry. Thanks to an optimized reduction factor, the sensors are able to detect stainless steel at their maximum switching distance (15 mm). This feature makes them especially suitable for applications with high hygiene standards. The new IGMF switches are designed for ambient temperatures up to 75 °C and provide IP68/69K protection. This makes them waterproof not only when fully submersed, but also during cleaning with high-pressure water jets. Even sensitive areas, such as the cable entry, withstand such extreme conditions. Available in two sizes, the sensors operate with 10...30 V DC. They are connected via a robust FEP cable.
