Gettorf – EGE's ODMO series of infrared sensors enables
non-contact detection of red-hot materials at temperatures between 300 and well
over 1,500 °C. The sensors react to the energy emitted by hot objects and are
not affected by cold objects or movements in the background of their field of
view. A robust IP 68 / IP 69K stainless steel housing protects optics and
electronics, which makes the sensors suitable for tasks like the positioning of
hot components in steam atmospheres at ambient temperatures up to 75 °C. EGE
also provides special optical fiber cables for temperatures up to 400 °C which
allow for a separate installation of the sensor and its electronics. ODMO
sensors have already proven themselves in a wide range of heavy industry
applications, such as steelworks and aluminium plants. Thanks to their modular
structure, single components can be easily exchanged. The ODMO series includes a
wide range of models with different temperature thresholds and fields of view,
operating with supply voltages between 10...250 V AC.
