Gettorf – Thanks to a newly developed background filter function, EGE's AGK series of ultrasonic sensors reliably detects objects at small distances measuring only a few millimeters. This allows even for the detection of transparent films running past rolls. Other applications include the identification of flat components on conveyor belts and monitoring the filling of tablet tubes. AGK sensors, which feature integrated electronics, are available as M12 models. They offer a narrow acoustic beam and fast reaction times. The devices have a sensing range of 25...200 mm and are suitable for ambient temperatues between -15 and +70 °C. Manufactured from stainless steel, the IP67 sensors are fit for use in rugged industrial environments, serving e.g. as level controllers in fluid containers.
