Gettorf – The strict hygiene standards in the food industry require highly resistant sensors. Manufactured from one piece, the shock-proof, stainless steel IGVW-type inductive proximity switches from sensor expert EGE withstand cleaning processes with aggressive liquids, high pressure water jets and great temperature differences. Due to increased EM compatibility, the robust units also resist e.g. interferences caused by frequency inverters. They are designed for a -10 to 110 °C temperature range. A fixed FEP cable connection protects the critical connection area, ensuring that no liquids enter and damage the sensor. IGVW sensors are available as M12, M18 and M30 models with a 5 or 10 mm switching distance.
