Gettorf – EGE's proven, highly robust IGV-type inductive proximity switches are now also available as corrosion-resistant, abrasion-proof models with a PTFE coating. The stainless steel sensors, which are manufactured from one piece, thus qualify for use in very rugged environments such as welding lines, machine tools or automotive applications. They are easy to clean and prevent adhering deposits (e.g. welding cinder or salt). Moreover, they withstand extreme climatic conditions, great forces and aggressive media. The sensors have been designed to provide maximum shock resistance and increased EM compatibility, easily resisting more than ten blows with an impact of eight Joule each. Interference caused by frequency inverters does not influence their operation. Available as M12, M18 and M30 versions with switching distances between 2 and 10 mm, the proximity switches are suitable for ambient temperatures between -25 and +80 °C.
