Gettorf – EGE's IGV line of inductive proximity switches is made from stainless steel and manufactured from one piece. The sensors are highly shock-proof: they easily resist more than ten blows with an impact of eight Joule each. One such blow corresponds to a 1 kg weight dropped onto the sensor from a height of 80 cm. They also withstand vibrations, metal cuttings and abrasive media as well as aggressive cooling liquids and lubricants, which makes them ideally suited for use in extremely rugged industrial environments. They have been designed to provide increased EM compatibility: interference caused by frequency inverters does not influence their operation. Available as M12, M18 and M30 versions with switching distances between 2 and 10 mm, the proximity switches are suitable for ambient temperatures between -25 and +80 °C. They are connected via an M12 plug connector or a PVC cable.
